Contact Form - Questions or Comments about Down syndrome?
There are so many questions when you are facing a diagnosis for your baby about Down syndrome. I know that often times, the best people to ask are the one's who know about Down syndrome. Those people are often parents who have a child with Down syndrome. Being a mother of a baby with Down syndrome, I have had the opportunity to learn, research and educate myself on Down syndrome and also Genetics. I was asked (by the Genetics Department at the Centenary Hospital in Toronto) to be a support and guide for families receiving a diagnosis of Down syndrome because of my knowledge and background. Being a police officer of over 13 years, in part allows me to educate, teach and research for a living. They can call me day or night, anytime to ask questions, visit me or have me visit them. I am a community leader for three forums on a site called MedHelp. I was asked to be the community leader of the Down syndrome, the Children-Special Needs, and Genetics Forums because of my expertise. It is my nature to provide help and information that otherwise would be hard to obtain or often is outdated or incorrect.
In addition to any answers or information that I provide, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
